TRIP FROM HELL: Ryanair passenger spends night in bus shelter for not having Covid test… she didn’t need
A couple have been denied boarding their Rome-London Stansted flight, after Ryanair ground staff insisted she needed a negative Covid test to fly – which wasn’t true.
Becky MacInnes-Clark, who is also fully vaxxed, pleaded with ground crew to let her on the flight but they flat-out refused and insisted a negative PCR test was a govt. requirement to enter the UK.
The pair paid over £300 ($400) in testing and other fares to return home, leaving them short of cash to pay for a hotel for the night – so they had to sleep in a bus shelter outside the airport.
She arrived home 20 hours late “astounded and knackered” – Ryanair is yet to respond.
